Crawl Space Seam Tape
A polyethylene film, single coated with a synthetic rubber pressure sensitive adhesive. This is not your average crawl space vapor barrier seam tape. This 4” 9-mil thick seam tape comes in 180’ (60 yd) long rolls. The color is bright white and is sure to help brighten your crawl space jobs. Our crawl space seam tape is polyethylene backed and single sided. It is great for any crawl space encapsulation or basement waterproofing project.
Waterproof Seam Tape for Crawl Spaces
Crawl Space Ninja Seam Tape is polyethylene film tape manufactured with a superior adhesive compound and intended for use in many applications; such as crawl space encapsulation, basement waterproofing, splicing, color coding, marking and sealing. This tape also offers noticeably better water and weather resistance than traditional crawl space seam tapes. This poly tape is commonly used in the marine, service, and construction industries among others. Poly tapes are frequently used in shrink film and zipper door applications.
Q: How Much Crawl Space Seam Tape Do I Need?
Typically, we recommend 1 roll (4"x180') for every 250 square feet of crawl space. Additionally, if you have support pillars, add 1 additional roll for every four pillars.

Crawl space seam tape
I used this tape to seal all the 12 mil plastic as I encapsulated my crawl space. I found it a very nice product. It sealed very well and wude enough to use anywhere I needed to. I will use this product anytime I need to seal crawl space plastic or for any number of other needs I come up with. Seals great, holds tight, and a quality product. It goes a long way too.

The tape is excellent for sticking to the plastic vapor barrier. I hoped it would stick to the concrete block walls and columns as well, but not so much there

Works great. Sticks nicely. You'll get a good workout peeling it off the roll. Fiqure out how much you need than add more. You'll need it. Would absolutely reccomend.

I expected it to work better...I think if you were to use this tape on a new/barely seasoned crawl space, it would work better. My house was built in the late 90's and the crawl space wasn't much taken care of. Took it upon myself to do a DIY fixer up with new vents and new barrier. I purchased a brush to clean the walls but even after laboring against the walls, the tape wouldn't stick in majority places. I noticed it stayed on areas that were extremely clean and hadn't been exposed to much of the elements. But that was very few for me. I used it mostly to attach the barrier to other barrier. That worked just fine. I only wound up using half of what I bought, wasting about $100 and it was outside of the period to return. Plus it doesn't seem to make sense based on the costs to return. All that to say, consider what type of crawl space you have and how its' been taken care of before you go taping the barrier to the wall.
