The 1622PS Pump Sentry is among the most advanced and reliable sump pump emergency battery backup systems available. It interfaces between a pump and its AC wall outlet. When AC utility power is present, the 1622PS charges a battery and channels power from the wall outlet to the pump while monitoring that wall outlet for power outage. At the moment utility power fails, the 1622PS substitutes its own generated AC power necessary for pump operation by converting energy from the battery. When utility power is restored, the 1622PS automatically switches the pump back to the AC wall outlet’s power. At the same time the 1622PS resumes the charging of the battery to return it to full capacity in preparation for the next power failure.

It was a breeze to install and worked perfectly when I tested it. Is so much better than trying to put a 12 volt pump in as a backup.

this is the best product to do the job, easy install, great you tube video's to go along with the installation and it allows up to 3 deep well 115 amp hr batteries to be hooked up to it and the recharges them , this is what you want when needing a battery back up system

SEC 1622ps
I finally finished the install of my sump pump backup. After being in the electronics field for 35 years I researched products for a back up and found the SEC 1622ps. It is a well built unit has all the features I was looking for and for a reasonable price for peace of mind. Our house has a stone foundation so water comes through the stack stone and a sump pump is a must. Now I do not have to rush home if ther is a power outage.

Very nice product
Very easy install maybe a template would have been easier to place on wall. I'm using a 1hp Wayne will change to 3/4 as it does take like 1/2 hour to charge brand new battery. But that's my fault. Again a template and maybe concrete expansion sheilds to install. Such a high cost I'd figure it would have this.

1622 pump sentry
This is Johnny Home Owner answer to have battery back up on their sump pump. If you can install a car battery you can do this easily. Nice to have peace of mind if power goes out while at work or on a trip with your sump pump. You can feel confident with the way it works. I watch videos on YouTube installing battery back up on existing sump pump.
